I've been running a lot.

I run an average of 200 Kilometers per month.

This is my training routine. I am training for a full marathon. I want to join one or two this year. I already tried a half-marathon with a good effort (1 hour 40 minutes)--still gruelling!!!! I got armpit burns, shin splints, and semi-dehydration... but I think I could have done better and ran faster...

maybe next time :D

So About the Aquathlon...

Why did i join???

I have never joined an Aquathlon for more than 7 years now, my last one was in UP when I was still in College and swimming for the UPVST. I won 2nd or 3rd place that time behind a my former teammate (a younger and faster swimmer). I really can't remember the details.

I could have joined last year's Aquathlon but Coach Archie Lim just asked me to take pictures (click here for the 2008 Ateneo Aquathlon Photos).

Since I've been training very hard for my Goal to Finish with a good time in a Full Marathon, I thought I'd join an Aquathlon for PHYSICAL CHALLENGE, TRAINING, and FUN. Luckily, there aren't a lot of fast swimmers in my age group (22-29 yrs. old) So I Told my self to out-swim everyone so that I can keep a good pace on the Run leg of the race. I kept an eye on my race times with my watch, I did a good job with the Swim Leg, Finishing first with about 3-5 minutes lead from the rest of the pack. The Run Leg was just like any other 5-10K road race... I kept my old pace and kept my heart rate in good pace. 25 Minutes in the 5K, kind of slowed down towards the finish line to get some pictures taken... hahaha :)) got to have that photo!

Ateneo Race Route I think is an easy to mild race route (difficulty 5 out 10), with about 30-40% uphill in the 5K and about 5-10% gradient (uphill and downhill).

Anyway, I had a great experience and I will definitely join the next year's aquathlon.

Oh and I almost forgot... Thank You Ateneo Swimming Team for the Awesome goodies!!!

My Sunday started a bit off today...

Woke up 4:45 AM to get ready for the Ateneo Aquathlon I joined this Morning,

Got a good breakfast (2 bananas, Peanut Butter Sandwich on California Raisin Bread,

On my way to the venue, BOOM!!!! got a TIRE BLOW OUT!!! FUCKING POT HOLES!!!!

At 6:00 AM I was changing a blown out tire in front of AFP Base,

Finished changing the tire for the spare at 6:15,

Continued to Ateneo, got there just in time for the registration...

I did not expect winning 1st place but I did try to out-swim and out-run everyone in my age bracket. even Jake who is my old swimmer who trains for me in the Club.

Donny+Vanessa Nuptials (Shoot with Richard Lazaro)

I recently worked with Photographer Richard Lazaro for a Wedding Shoot. And I have to say I did not expect a lot of things in a wedding shoot... the quiet yet busy Bridal Suite in Intercon Hotel, the lovely bridesmaids getting ready, the smaller smoke-filled deluxe room of the groom, the pictorial with the live glock 9mm hand gun, the running around taking photographs of everything I know about weddings.... It was a whirlwind! A lot can happen or not happen in a wedding shoot, for example, We wanted to do a pictorial by the Intercon Swimming pool before the ceremony but because time was always against us, we weren't able to that one. but I guess its always like that in wedding shoots, so we just had fun and did what we love the most. :D

I have never been so tired in taking photographs in my entire life, at the end of the wedding shoot my feet was hurting, my legs was cramping, and my back was just fatigued and sore...(TRUE STORY)... but all was worth it when I finally got to browse thru the photos in my borrowed macbookpro (Thanks Lesley!).

Being a contributing photographer for Getty Images

I'm very happy to announce that I've been recently invited to be contributing photographer for Getty Images. Getty Images is an online database collecting media (Stock Photographs, Graphic Designs, Video Clips, and Music) to sell to advertising companies and a like. Stock Photography are commonly used in Web-based advertisements, billboards, magazines, prints, products, announcements, Posters, etc.etc.

Like any other contributing photographer, the process of submitting photos for approval in Getty Images is a grueling task, there are important legal forms you have to submit along with your photos. :( The reality of working for something and getting something in return)

I noticed that most of my travel photos have recognizable faces of strangers I didn't even get to meet, this is a problem because in order to sell a photograph for advertising, a photographer will need to secure a "model's release form" which in my earlier photography days I did not bother paying attention to. This upsets me because Getty Images chose a lot from my previous work where I don't have access in securing a "model's release form". Anyway, it is a Lesson learned and from now on I will try to secure this model's release form as often as I can.

I've been contacting my friends and family to sign models' release form and so far its been going well for my submissions. Thank you very much guys!

A Man's Best Friend - King (Belgian malinois) 2007-2008

We Love our dogs very much, My dad always had dogs around. He has pictures of dogs from even when he was a young boy. All his life, he took care of dogs... but i think I'd rather say, his dogs took care of him... He is truly a Dog's best friend.

He got King--the Belgian Malinois late last year. King is a very handsome fun loving dog, he likes playing around a lot (he has a big playground -- 3,000 sq. mts.). King had 3 playmates too... my dog Tuna (male golden retriever), Beauty (female Belgian malinois), and Pretty (female doberman). King knew a lot of tricks. as clumsy as he is he still manage to learn a handful of obedience tricks. We Love him very much. We Miss him already.

on December 4, He passed away due to a very unfortunate accident... Nobody expected what was to happen, he was playing with something nobody knew was dangerous to dogs. My dad looked for him when he got home without the usual welcome from King... He found King resting on the lawn, King was already on his way to doggy heaven. Its been a sad week for us. His playmates misses him, we can tell.

My Last Few Polaroids Shots (Chachi+Jacqui's Engagement Party)

As we all may know, Polaroids 600s and the whole Polaroid Instant Camera line has been discontinued for all eternity---SO SAD!!!. Polaroid fun will all be remembered only as an Artistic and Photographic history gone to the books. These shots are the last ones I took with my Polaroid 600, although there are still websites and online shops selling over-priced Polaroid films, I will moved on to a new and promising kind of instant-photo camera fun--the Fujifilm's "Checki". I think I will order one for Christmas! :D

Chachi + Jacqui's Engagement (Tagaytay Highlands, onboard an R44 Raven II Helicopter, Manila Bay Sunset)

Chachi and Jacqui are two of my closest friends, they recently got engaged in Tagaytay highlands (where Chachi proposed) and had an engagement party afterwards at Top of the Citi (Citibank Tower, Makati City) where most of our friends were there to support chachi (hahaha!) kidding Chach! the party also moved on to a place with no name but it was beside Barcino's and some other bar in Fort Bonifacio. I've never seen Jacqui so happy till then, She just couldn't wait any longer... (hahaha! kidding Jacqui!) But all this was planned of course by Chachi and his best buddies!

(FLASHBACK: 1st week of November 2008)

My First Helicopter Flight (on board the R44 raven II)

I have never been anywhere close a real helicopter before, all I know is that it has no wings, and if the engine stops, it will drop like a flying shoe box. I wasn't a fan of flying in small cramped spaces--But this was before I got my chance last week (My first ever on a flying shoe box!!! haha:)) I have to say it was an awesome experience! it was scary and fun at the same time! but of course my story goes way before the engine started and the buzzing sound never ended...

This unexpected cool experience is because of my best friends (Christopher Salonga and his fiancee Jacqui Halili-co) getting engaged. I'm very happy and honored to be the official photographer for their engagement party. The plan was simple: I take the Helicopter to Tagaytay Highlands (30mins flight time), Chach proposes to Jacqui on the Helipad, CLICK CLICK CLICK--I take photographs, we head down to Manila to a sunset-clad Manila Bay CLICK CLICK CLICK, I take more Photographs, then we meet all of the couples' closest friends on Top of the Citi (Citiibank Tower, Makati) for Cocktails and Turkey dinner (delicious by the way!). Then we party till everyone was hammered. :)

CamSur through my Candy Colored Holga

After almost two years away from CamSur and anything wakeboarding, I finally got a chance to get back on the bindings and cables with a permanent ACL injury and see what's the fuss about wakeboarding again. IT WAS WORTH IT! after all the fears I had with this place (the reason why I got my ACL injury in the first place) I finally broke free from the usual "can I still wakeboard with my injury???" phobia. IT FELT GOOD!

I'm also very happy I didn't get any other injuries during my visit, It felt good to be back, it was like finding something you've been looking for all these years. although I did not try any kickers or sliders, I must say i will next time I get a chance to...

Delacroix's most influential work came in 1830 with the painting which for choice of subject and technique highlights the differences between the romantic approach and the neoclassical style. Probably Delacroix's best known painting, it is an unforgettable image of Parisians, having taken up arms, marching forward under the banner of the tricolour representing liberty and freedom; Delacroix was inspired by contemporary events to invoke the romantic image of the spirit of liberty. The soldiers lying dead in the foreground offer poignant counterpoint to the symbolic female figure, who is illuminated triumphantly, as if in a spotlight.

The French government bought the painting but officials deemed its glorification of liberty too inflammatory and removed it from public view. Nonetheless, Delacroix still received many government commissions for murals and ceiling paintings. He seems to have been trying to represent the spirit and the character of the people, rather than glorify the actual event, a revolution against King Charles X which did little other than bring in a different king, Louis-Philippe, to power.

Following the Revolution of 1848 that saw the end of the reign of King Louis Philippe, Delacroix' painting, Liberty Leading the People, was finally put on display by the newly elected President, Louis Napoleon (Napoleon III.) Today, it is visible in the Louvre museum.

The boy holding a gun up on the right is sometimes thought to be an inspiration of the Gavroche character in Victor Hugo's 1862 novel, Les Misrables.

British alternative rock band Coldplay used the painting as the cover for their album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.

Beaune is a commune in eastern France, a sub-prefecture of the Cte-d'Or department in the Bourgogne region.

The area around Beaune, the Cte de Beaune, is known for its Burgundy wines, with Beaune (although lacking a Grand Cru vineyard within the commune) as something of a hub of the wine business, since it is the largest city inside the wine region. Beaune is known for its annual wine sales organized by the Hospices de Beaune.

It is situated on the route des Grands Crus tourist route among the vineyards. The road runs north from Beaune to Gevrey Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges and south to Nolay, Saisy and Autun.

This magnificent Architectural milestone is a must see when you go visit Italia. the fact that it was constructed and rebuild and reconstructed and took over 900 years to complete is already a story to tell. what's fascinating about this tower is that it is 14,500 metric tons and it is leaning over 4 degrees and with its building height--it is slanting 12 feet from the vertical position. perfectly safe right? no wonder there's a sign "no standing" from the toppling side of it. hahaha! :)) --TRUE STORY!

Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano (St. Peter's Basilica) Vatican City

St. Peter's Basilica, is located within the Vatican City. It occupies a "unique position"; as one of the holiest sites and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom";. In Catholic tradition, it is the burial site of its namesake Saint Peter, who was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and, according to tradition, was the first Bishop of Antioch, and later first Bishop of Rome and therefore first in the line of the papal succession. While St. Peter's is the most famous of Rome's many churches, it is not the first in rank, an honour held by the Pope's cathedral church, the Basilica of St. John Lateran.

Saint Peter's Square is located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, the papal enclave within Rome (the Piazza borders to the East the rione of Borgo).

At the center of the ellipse stands an Egyptian obelisk of red granite, 25.5 meters tall, supported on bronze lions and surmounted by the Chigi arms in bronze, in all 41 meters to the cross on its top. The obelisk, of the 13th century BC, was moved to Rome in AD 37 by the Emperor Caligula to stand in the central spina of the Circus Gai et Neronis, which lay to the left of the present basilica. It was moved to its current site in 1586 by the engineer-architect Domenico Fontana under the direction of Pope Sixtus V; the engineering feat of re-erecting its vast weight was memorialized in a suite of engravings. The Vatican Obelisk is the only obelisk in Rome that has not toppled since ancient Roman times. During the Middle Ages, the gilt ball on top of the obelisk was believed to contain the ashes of Julius Caesar. Fontana later removed the ancient metal ball, now in a Rome museum, that stood atop the obelisk and found only dust. Though Architect Bernini had no influence in the erection of the obelisk, he did use it as the centerpiece of his magnificent piazza.

The paving is varied by radiating lines in travertine, to relieve what might otherwise be a sea of cobblestones. In 1817 circular stones were set to mark the tip of the obelisk's shadow at noon as the sun entered each of the signs of the zodiac, making the obelisk a gigantic sundial's gnomon. Below is a fabulous view of St. Peter's Square from the cupola (the top of the dome) which was taken in June, 2007.

Trevi Fountain a la Roma, Italia

When in Rome...

You will not find any other place in the world that celebrates the ever-mutating and incredible power of water like Rome. The Trevi Fountain is a fantastic work of art that is much more than a mere sculpture. This triumphant example of Baroque art with its soft, natural lines and fantasy creatures embodies movement as the soul of the world. The fountain is a true wonder, a jewel of water and stone that is nestled between the palaces of the historic centre of the city.

You can already hear its presence from the nearby streets. Indeed, as you get nearer the sound of its gushing waters grows constantly more intense, reaching a crescendo in the square, where you will find the most breathtaking sight. Suddenly, the space seems to open out and you stand before a symbolic representation of this great force of nature, a tumultuous spring that seems to flow out of the ground.

The light and shade effects on the marble make the wind seem to bellow through the drapes and locks of the statues, agitating the waves, creating an extraordinarily intense and spectacular scene. In this Baroque creation, the architecture itself seems to come alive with the current of the revitalising waters.

This work of art is so famous that even cinema has commemorated it on more than one occasion. Everyone remembers the scene in the renowned Italian film, "La Dolce Vita" by Fellini; on a quiet night in an almost unreal Rome, an alluring Anita Ekberg jumps into the Trevi Fountain with her clothes on and invites Marcello Mastroianni to join her. There is also another curious tradition regarding the Trevi Fountain. It is said that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the water, you will be sure to return to Rome.

The Rialto Bridge (Italian: Ponte di Rialto) is one of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. It is the oldest bridge across the canal and probably the most famous in the city.

Summer in Venice...

Take a stroll on the 13th century brick pavement of the Piazza and enjoy the Venetian Sun casting interesting shadows on Byzantine-clad architecture, but come the rainy season is flooding over the Piazza which is also very good for some photographers but not very much for the tourists.

Piazza San Marco is the principal square of Venice, Italy. It is one of the few great urban spaces in a Europe where human voices prevail over the sounds of motorized traffic, which is confined to Venice's waterways. It is the only urban space called a piazza in Venice; the others, regardless of size, are called campi.

As the central landmark and gathering place for Venice, Piazza San Marco is extremely popular with tourists, photographers, and Venetian pigeons.

The Piazza San Marco is the lowest point in Venice, and as a result during the Acqua Alta the "high water" from storm surges from the Adriatic, or even heavy rain, it is the first to flood. Water pouring into the drains in the Piazza runs directly into the Grand Canal. This is ideal during heavy rain, but during the acqua alta it has the reverse effect, with water from the canal surging up into the Square.

Basilica di San Marco a Venezia is the most famous of the city's churches and one of the best known examples of Byzantine architecture. Originally it was the "chapel" of the Venetian rulers, and not the city's cathedral. Since 1807 it has been the seat of the Patriarch of Venice, archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice. For its opulent design, gilded Byzantine mosaics, and its status as a symbol of Venetian wealth and power, from the 11th century on the building was known by the nickname Chiesa d'Oro (Church of gold).

The Titlis (3,238m) is a mountain in the Urner Alps of Switzerland. It is located in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland, overlooking Engelberg and is famous as the site of the world's first revolving cable car. The cable car system connects Engelberg to the summit of Klein Titlis (3,028m) through the three stages of Gerschnialp (1,262m), Trbsee (1,796m) and Stand (2,428m).

The last part of cable car way leads above the glacier. In Klein Titlis, it is possible to visit a glacier cave.

The peak of the glacier near Lucerne offers a special sensation: when taking the aerial cable-car to the top, the gondolas start revolving on the 600-meter-long segment beginning in Stand and ending at the mountain station Klein Titlis located at 3,020 meters above sea level.

How to get there: Drive or take public transportation from Lucerne via Stans to Engelberg, ascend the summit of Mt.Titlis by aerial cable-car.

Sunset: Before the Candlelight Dinner at 3020 meters above sea level, you can witness a fantastic sunset. The Bernese Oberland and Central Switzerland become visible in the rays of the sun Ð this vista unfolds before your very eyes.

Manneken Pis in Brussels, Belgium

when in Belgium, don't forget to drop by the very famous Manneken Pis (Dutch for little man pee), also known in French as the petit Julien, is a very famous Brussels landmark. It is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin.

On many occasions, the statue is dressed in a costume. His wardrobe now consists of several hundred different costumes. The costumes are changed according to a schedule managed by the non-profit association The Friends of Manneken-Pis, in ceremonies that are often accompanied by brass band music.

On occasion, the statue is hooked up to a keg of beer. Cups will be filled up with the beer flowing from the statue and given out to people passing by.

The famous statue is located at the junction of Rue de l'tuve & Eikstraat. One has to take the left lane next to the Brussels Town Hall building from the famous Grote Markt and walk up a few hundred meters to arrive at the spot. The statue will be on the left corner.

My New Apple iPhone 3G

Just after a day Apple released the iPhone 3G in the Philippines, our friends from Globe Telecom gave me a call informing me my unit was available for purchase. As excited as I am, I quickly went to the Globe Telecom Center, got myself a new mobile number, and my new and squeaky slick 16GB white Apple iPhone 3G.

I never had a new phone for 5 years--I'm not the kind of person that changes cellphone everytime there is a newer model released. My old O2 XDA II was always faithful and never really crapped up which I'm really thankful for, but I told myself that if Apple officially release the iPhone here in the Philippines, I would definitely get one. Continue my switch from the old and aging PC platform to MAC. The only problem was getting all my contacts from a pocket PC to a MAC iPhone--of course I did it manually, writing and typing all birthdays and contact numbers in my Address Book and iCal. All was worth it! The iPhone is an amazing gadget! it is so amazing that even O2 stores in UK sells iPhone 3G. haha :))

All Lomographs were taken with my month old Holga CMY. I am fairly new with Lomography so I really didn't expect it to be this unpredictable... Although I heard it was going to be unpredictably fun, but not like this, it is LEGENDARY AWESOMELY FUN FUN FUN! Taking a photo of something and not caring if it was going to turn out okay or not -- the Holga will do its job. Plus Girls love the Candy Colored P#ssy Magnet--branded by a dutch girl... haha :))

Some rolls had light streaks while others didn't have any at all. some have somewhat flat contrast, and some had very interesting depths. It is fascinating how this Candy Colored Camera can catch the most unimaginable Lomographs with just a few basic photography rules:

1. don't forget to take off the lens cap while taken a photo. haha :))

2. make sure there is enough light or use the bulb option and count 1-2-3...

3. Make sure that there is Film to wind :P

Europe in Numbers

The most Visited City in the World, PARIS! 44 Million tourist per year. Here are the numbers... In a span of 26 days, I have been to exactly 17 European Countries. I managed to take 4,244 Photographs with my Canon 5D, and another 25 rolls of 120 Film with my candy colored Holga. all this in Europe, frankly, I don't think it is enough to capture its awesomeness! I wish I could have taken more photographs, and brought more film with me... I even looked around for Lomography shops and look for 120films--but very hard to find! My Canon 5D shots amounted to a total of 57.48 GB on my MacbookPro--this will take me more than 2-3 months to sort, edit and upload photos for viewing, hopefully I finish everything before Christmas Holidays... HAHA! So, I ask for a little patience, and everyones understanding :)

Some interesting facts and numbers while I was on my EuroTrip:

167.5 tunnels from Florence to the border of France.

16,000 meters is the Longest tunnel in Switzerland, maybe in Europe

4,400 Km is the distance traveled by Cosmos coach.

37.8 is the average age of the tour group I was with.

I have been told many many times that Europe is going to be beautiful! I always thought I'd like to see it for myself and experience what the Fuss is all about Europe anyway. Now, I never had a chance to come see and experience Europe until 3 weeks ago when I finally packed a few things, clothes, my laptop, and of course for the Kodak moment, my Canon 5D and my new candy colored Holga...

And as for any Beautiful City or Location comes the Beautiful women which makes it more exciting!

My overhauled Canon EOS 5D

After weeks and weeks of painful wait. I finally got my Canon EOS 5D back from the service center... courtesy of CANON PHILIPPINES. All I asked them to do was 1. clean my camera 2. do a general check up 3. give it back to me in less than a week. instead they wanted to give back my camera with a little dot on my viewfinder (which I asked the technician to clean on the spot), replaced shutter mechanism (which cost a fortune!), and over a month of service (the painful wait).--TRUE STORY!

and all this with my persistent follow up and begging if they could work on my camera faster... I was really disappointed on how they handle costumers' cameras. they had to do a lot of calibration, cleaning, programing, etc etc... and they'll give back your camera with something less than the service you expected! really disappointing!

but but they did their best--the supervisor even help me to get my camera fixed faster. they had to call Singapore to download Operating Systems, programs that will be compatible with my 5D. etc etc ---TRUE STORY

now my new overhauled Canon EOS 5D is packed and ready for our LEGENDARY EURO TRIP!!!

After 3 weeks of long,painful but patient wait... the Lomographic shipping Box arrived! Thanks to my cousins over at Garden State New Jersey, Kuya Alvin, Ate Janice, Kuya Jeremy and Lomographic Society over at Brooklyn, NYC! box was loaded with a Holga CMY Starter kit, a Lomo LC-A T-Shirt, and 40 rolls of Konika 400 120 film. AWESOME!

I was so excited to open and try out my new candy colored, medium format loading, don't think just shoot camera HOLGA CMY that I opened it while driving going home. haha! true story! :P This is AWESOME! and is going to be a Legendary Holga experience!

Now at 5 Months, Tuna has been the same healthy puppy. He still likes girls alot (He follows them around), wags his tail every time there are girls around. He likes to play with his whistle sounding chew ball. He also likes to eat steak, salmon, and ICE CREAM. haha :)) Sometimes He is very very playful, plays tag with me on the roof deck. He is sometimes naughty chewing on things he shouldn't be chewing, eating things and food he shouldn't be eating, doesn't eat dog food much which he should be eating... haha! oh well, He still is very adorable puppy.

oh here is a photo (polaroid) taken by my sister... very funny! I used to throw Tuna up in the Air saying Flying Tuna!!! and He seems to like it very much! haha! but now at 5 months, I don't think I can still throw him up in the air anymore because he is a heavy weight alright....

After 5 days of Partying and drinking all out in Boracay, I came home sick and feeling terrible, swearing not to drink a single drop of alcohol for a couple of weeks! together with a very long hangover is getting food poisoning! how terrible can it get going home?

Its a long story...
Its terrible to take a bumpy shuttle ride from the hotel to the almost market-full of people pier. taking a wavy boat ride to the other side of the island, and getting on a van with a driver who thinks he's Schumacher driving a sports car. waiting at the airport, getting on a plane, getting of a plane, waiting for a cab, getting to bed. It took us 12 hours from hotel to my bed!--12 hours of Torture! and all this while I was feeling feverish, nausea, and stomach sick.

Its Crazy crazy looking at the photos we took during the parties, I get sick to my stomach all over again! haha! really had too much to drink! anyway, I'm still sorting out photos so hopefully I finish everything before new years!

I took this shots in Yosemite National Park. We drove out there for the day. The place was amazing! postcard beauty! haha! it wasn't snowing yet at the lower areas but it was definetly cold already.

We were suppose to go to a very high view point where you can see just about everyhting in Yosemite, but the road was slippery and icy already and our car didn't have snow wheels on. so we went around the park for a few hours instead, We saw bears, deers, chipmunks, squirrels, cayote, etc. Nature trip!

It was like being in the Grand Canyon all over again but the rock formations have trees in them unlike the grand canyon where you'll be lucky to get a shade from a tree.

I took this in a beach in San Francisco facing the Pacific Ocean. It was Breezy out there and it was amazing to see this flock of birds soring in one place because the wind is too strong.

They are stationary in one location for a few minutes gliding and enjoying the powerful breeze of the pacific ocean. it was almost sunset so it was great to take photos of the cear blueish sky turning into shades of red.

We were blessed that the Golden Gate Bridge showed itself without fogs! Awesome day to take photographs. We took turns taking portraits infront of the bridge ofcourse!

I have a few collection photogrpahs of bridges, The Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Golden Gate, and some local bridges. I guess i can make it to a set now.

There are a few must have photos of bridges i know of like the Le Ponte De Normandie in France, the Clifton Suspension Bridge in England, and the Millau bridge in France which will take motorist to the sky! haha! its the tallest suspension bridge in the world. crazy frenchies!

Brooklyn Bridge

Took this shot at the Brooklyn bridge New York City. I was with kuya Alvin that night and we were experimenting on taking nightshots and nightscapes. We were on our way to Soho and the lower East side for a saturday night gimmick. We spent alot of time on the bridge and it was damn far from where we parked. It was chilly already this time of the year. late september. anyway, I wasn't able to take a photograph of the whole bridge but we took alot of photographs on the walkway, taking aim of the city skyline, light trails, etc.

Venus at the MET

The Goddess of Love and Beauty in Roman Times. Immortalize by this sculpture displayed in the Metropolitant Museum, New York City. I like Roman Sculpture because of the very romantic style of the Human Bodies, where everything is still somewhat rounded and natural, but still very sexy, like Rachel Weisz's Body profile.--very very sexy!

Anyway, I took alot of photo inside the MET and I have to say, MET is one of the TOP PLACES WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN NY. Too bad, I just can't take photos of them. haha!

Portrait at Golden Gate

We took turns in taking photographs with the Bridge behind us. it was a good day to take photographs because there were no fog! great great day!

I tried a silver gelatin effect on the later image.

Too this shot at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Awesome Architecture and Landscape Architecture combined.

It was awesome to be there because the Park was just absolutely breath taking. absolutely beautiful. and enormously grandeur.

NYC Skyline (light streaks)

Took this shot at the Brooklyn Bridge platform taking aim at the New York City Skyline. I tried the slow shutter speed and added some camera shake to get the light streaks of the buildings.

I love this shot because of the dynamic feel of the image. just like a visualization in itunes/winamp. awesome color display and movements.

I was with kuya Alvin when I took this, we were experimenting on nightshots with our cameras.

I took this shot from the New Jersey side of the river on our way home to Yacienda.

Took a couple of shots around the area with different focal lengths and post edited in Photoshop CS3.

Holland Tunnel Vision

Took this secretly inside the Holland tunnel en route to NJ from NYC, They don't allow people taking photographs inside the tunnel because of the terrorists threats in NYC. Anyway, I didn't find out until after i took a couple of shots, my cousin told me its not allowed to take photos inside the tunnel. haha!

I took this with a slow shutter speed to capture the light streaks and motion blurred movements of lights, cars, pavements, lanes, etc. Tunneling vision!

The Statue of Liberty

Took these shots at Liberty Island, New York. Also a must have photo if you're in New York City--The Statue of Liberty should also get a portrait shot from everybody. The sky was clear and it was an awesome day for taking photographs, although you might have to look for a good angle with the sunlight to avoid shadows and glares. There were alot of view points for taking photographs at Liberty, too bad the twin towers weren't there anymore.--F@CKING TERRORISTS!
It would have been awesome to take a photo of the NYC skyline with them.

Oh and, ever wonder why is she colored pale green?!? its because she is made of copper. copper + oxidation = pale green.

I love the photo with the seagull at its flight, just a perfect angle with the Statue behind and a lens glare cast.

I took these set of photos while we were walking around Times Square. Iconic Yellow Taxi Cabs from New York City is a must have photo.

Anyway, I have a bucket of yellow cab photos with different styles and effects.--From on hand-held camera shakes, panning, zooming, slow shutter speeds, etc.

Did post editing on Photoshop CS3.

Portraits at The Grand Canyon West Rim

My sister took these set of photos, We were at the Skywalkers view point in Grand Canyon West Rim.

I love the way the colors blended and contrasted each other, it creates more depth and intensity.

I did the post-editing in Photoshop CS3, Chiaroscuro effect.

The Grand Canyon (West Rim)

Another view of the amazing rock formations of the Grand Canyon. In the photo is the pathwalk around the cliff. The pathwalk is literally on the edge of the cliff with no walls or barriers. You can jump off the cliff and drop 4000 feet in a heart beat.

It was amazing because of the thrill and excitement you'll feel going on the edge of the cliff and taking a photograph. Knee-whobbling experience! haha!

Anyway, It was Beautiful out there. Too bad we couldn't stay until sunset. Photos of Grand Canyon at sunset would be awesome. maybe next time?!
